About 25 years ago I had a brief stint as a DJ It was in a Small Station "WTBR" in a High School in Pittsfield MA
I did an overnight Rock & Roll Show and I really liked it
Since then I thought that Broadcasting was something I still might enjoy
Almost 3 years ago I signed up to study at the Tampa campus of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting
(if you have ever listened to radio around Boston you must have heard their ads; thats how I first knew of them)
I was just about to Enroll when I was called by FEMA to work after Katrina.
I then went on to do other things
Well, last week I was thinking
"You never got back to them to close out that chapter"
but of course I didn't do anything about it
This past Tuesday I got a call from the school asking me if I was still interested...
Over the last two days I did some research, and went up for a campus visit today:
and I am now enrolled in the CSB Broadcasting School
The clincher for me was how diligent they appear to be
is working to get their students employment after graduation.
In fact even though I just started we discussed some potential jobs for me
One of the things they said was my Political Science background would be a good fit for talk radio
Life certainly has its Ironies
