This story starts with they lived "Happily Ever After"
Yeah I know I cant see into the Future, but Please wait for the story.
My sister's three teenage girls have recently gotten into horseback riding
in a Big way.
Anybody that is familiar with this hobby knows how expensive it is;
and buying your own horse is even more financially daunting.
But the lady that teaches the girls horseback riding
told my sister about Scout, a Quarter Horse
Seems his owner passed away about a year or so ago
and there was no-one to take care of him, or who even wanted him.
"Scout" didn't exactly come up for sale, he was destined for...
well lets just say he was not long for this world.
My sister couldn't bear to think of a horse simply discarded
So an agreement was made to save him.
He was purchased for the same amount he would have been worth as "Scrap"
Needless to say my sisters daughters were thrilled to have their own horse
He was healthy, if a little hungry and dirty, and quite a handsome steed
But Wait, theres more...
Quarter Horses are "registered" so they did some research into Scouts breeding
Seems Scout is not just any Quarter Horse
A number of his ancestors are enshrined in the Quarter Horse Hall of Fame
One called the Greatest Cow Horse ever to work on the King Ranch in Texas;
another the "Greatest Horse" of his time, around the American Revolution.
Because of my sisters compassion and a simple desire to bless her kids;
A horse bred from champions now has a life ahead of being Loved and Spoiled
instead of literally being cast away
I told you it begins with Happily Ever After
