Hearing Aids "Soon"
I have always been "Part Machine" and it never bothered me because that's all I knew right from the Beginning. Psalm 139:14 is a pretty accurate description of me "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" But the Impending addition of Hearing Aids seems to be just a step beyond what I am content with. Granted, I Definitely NEED to use them: and I have put them off for far too long. But not so long ago I had excellent above average hearing. I have to take responsibility for not taking care of my hearing to my best ability. It's really common knowledge that listening to music though headphones at too high a volume is Not very good (or Smart). But 30 years ago there was a period in my life I did just that; and of course I regret it. I also think Age & Genetics have something to do with it as well. But there is no escaping my Culpability.
So, relatively soon I am going to add to my "Cyborg Cred" with still another Mechanical/Electronic part. I probably will Piss & Moan (Nothing New there) but knowing that, like all the other parts I have, they will allow me to function more optimally: I will just eventually get used to them and continue on. But I will definitely be Hoping that I don't have to add any more "Parts"
